Attorney Erin Nobles is a transplant from St. Petersburg, Florida who now lives in Melrose, Massachusetts with her husband and their two school-age children. Erin focuses on helping clients prepare wills, advance directives for health care, and other important estate planning documents, such as revocable and irrevocable trusts. She also counsels individuals and families who are modifying existing estate plans that are no longer appropriate, and she coordinates the succession planning for Nobles & Sigman’s business clients. Erin has experience working with clients of all ages, from young parents writing their first wills, to mature retirees seeking to protect assets in anticipation of long-term care needs.
Erin’s undergraduate degree is in psychology from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!). After college, Erin worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator with AmeriCorps, helping at-risk elementary age children reach literacy benchmarks. She received her law degree, with honors, from Suffolk University Law School, where she met her partner, Lisa. During law school, she and Lisa clerked for Lubin & Meyer, P.C., a well-known Boston medical malpractice law firm. She also interned for Health Care for All, Inc. in Boston, a public advocacy group working to expand health care access to Massachusetts residents prior to the Massachusetts health care reform law of 2006.
After law school, Erin worked as an associate at Lubin & Meyer, and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Complex Civil Litigation Bureau of the Florida Office of the Attorney General, where she worked with federal and state investigators to prosecute Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
After the birth of her second child, who was diagnosed at birth with a complicated heart and lung condition called pulmonary hypertension, Erin decided that the litigation lifestyle was no longer a good fit for her family. For the past five years, she has focused her practice exclusively on helping families prepare for the future through sound estate planning.
Erin believes in a client-centered approach, and enjoys working with financial professionals where appropriate to ensure that her client’s values, goals, and vision is understood. This may mean meeting with a client at non-traditional times (Saturdays and Sundays are fine) and in non-traditional venues (such as Zoom video conferencing, or concierge services in a client’s home or office).
